How to do PCB rework with the PCB Desoldering Preheating Tool Platform?
1. Start-up and pre-start inspection
①. Before turning on the machine, check whether the power cord is connected properly.
②. Turn on the main power switch. Wait until the self-test is completed before using it (the temperature displayed on the digital tube is the current room temperature).
③. The small black switch on the front panel is used to control the operation of the infrared preheating chassis; press the blue button “▲” (up button) and the red button “▼” (down button) on the front panel to control the temperature within 0-450°C. , adjust the operating temperature of the infrared preheating chassis. When the switch is “ON”, the infrared preheating chassis starts to work; when the switch is “OFF”, the infrared preheating chassis stops working.
2. Preheat PCB board operation:
(1) PCB board placement and adjustment:
① According to the PCB board size, adjust the bracket’s position, place the PCB board on the bracket, and tighten the fastening nut.
② According to the size of the PCB board and the welding process requirements, press the blue button “▲” (up button) and the red button “▼” (down button) on the front panel to adjust the infrared preheating in the range of 0-450℃ The output temperature of the chassis.
(2) Preheating on and off:
①. Press the switch “ON” to turn on the preheating chassis and wait for 3-5 minutes until the displayed temperature stabilizes around the set value before proceeding to the next step.
②. When the work is finished, press the switch “OFF”, and the infrared preheating chassis will stop working.
Note: Do not turn off the power switch immediately at this time. Let the whole machine cool down sufficiently before turning off the power.
③. Recommendations for preheating temperature settings: When preheating leaded PCB boards, the infrared preheating chassis temperature can be adjusted to about 100-120℃; when preheating lead-free PCB boards, the infrared preheating chassis temperature can be adjusted to 120-120℃. Around 140℃; you can also set different preheating temperatures according to the user’s usage process and user experience.
3. Machine setting and adjustment:
The heating methods of the infrared preheating chassis of this machine include the full pressure direct heating method and PID percentage adjustment method. You can adjust it yourself according to the preheating margin of the PCB board. Generally, when the preheating temperature is lower than 250°C, the PID percentage adjustment method is used; when the preheating temperature is higher than 250°C, the full-pressure direct heating method is used.
Adjustment method: 1. Press and hold “▲” to turn on the power, and it will display: C=?
2. Press “▲” to select 0 or 1, and the state changes once each time you press it. C=0 is PID percentage adjustment, and C=1 is switch control.
3. Press “▼” to confirm.

1. After finishing the work, do not turn off the power immediately. Wait for the whole machine to cool down before turning off the power.
2. Keep the vents unobstructed, and the infrared preheating chassis clean, and clean it regularly with absolute alcohol!
3. Be careful, operate at high temperatures, pay attention to safety, and prevent burns.
4. If it is not used for a long time, the power plug should be unplugged!
